OST Webinar: What's happening in Washington, DC?
National policy developments are having a significant impact on out-of-school time and expanded learning programs. Join us for an insider's perspective of developments in our nation's capital, including NCLB waivers, ESEA reauthorization, appropriations and proposed legislation to expand STEM in out-of-school time. This web seminar will also provide an opportunity to discuss implications for policy and implementation, and surface opportunities for grantmakers and the OST/ELO field.
We'll learn from two experienced leaders and policy experts:
Danica L. Petroshius, Principal of Penn Hill Group, brings nearly 20 years of experience in public policy, advocacy, management, strategic consulting and communications. Before helping to build Penn Hill Group, she was founder of Policy Strategies and Solutions, where she helped an array of clients achieve their policy and advocacy goals.
Gary Huggins, Chief Executive Officer of the National Summer Learning Association, has more than 15 years of experience in leading education and environmental policy organizations, most recently as executive director of the Aspen Institute's Commission on No Child Left Behind, a body he led for nearly five years.
