Research shows family engagement is the linchpin to closing achievement gaps and reaching educational equity - yet this resource remains untapped. To get from aspirations in policy to results on the ground, family engagement must be clearly defined as relationship building and put at the center of teaching and learning. The presenters' work answers this call by bridging research, practice, and systems. COVID-19 related school closures have laid bare the need for partnerships between home and school.
