This session examines ways that foundations can advance more equitable and widespread civic learning for all students inside and outside of school. Participants will examine new research on youth civic engagement and the frequency, distribution, and gaps in civic learning opportunities in schools and communities. Participants will learn three key strategies for promoting high-quality and equitable civic learning drawing on expertise from community, school and policy-based initiatives.
