COVID-19 Video Chat with AFT Foundation

AFT and the AFT Educational Foundation have knowledge of and deep connections to educators and students who will be hard hit, as well as the ability to receive and distribute resources effectively. One primary equity concern of the AFT Educational Foundation is access to distance learning. With support, AFT Educational Foundation would seek to fund hotspots in low-income areas and spread high-quality virtual tools, like Share My Lesson, their online platform with thousands of high-quality vetted lessons. The AFT Educational Foundation also seeks to address the ongoing need for hygiene supplies. The AFT Educational Foundation hopes for a collaborative conversation, hearing from other funders about how they can serve other connective functions between education grantmakers and students in need.
