How can foundations use equity principles to improve grantmaking effectiveness, ensure grantees have a positive experience, and deliver the greatest impact to communities furthest from opportunity? This session will share lessons from two funders who have worked to deepen their focus on equity. Oak Foundation will share how it used an equitable design approach to craft its current strategy. CZI will share how it uses Making the Most of Grantmaking: A Primer for designing and launching open RFPs, a primer developed in partnership with Education First, to center equity in its grantmaking.
