Assessing and Funding Education Research
Video Chat - Join a discussion with Dr. Jennifer Glynn, director of research and evaluation at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, on supporting research projects in education. The discussion will include assessment of research proposals to ensure studies are high-quality and relevant within the context of the funding organization’s mission and goals, as well as detailed step-by-step process from initial review and follow up, grant award, and project tracking, publication and publicity.
The interactive discussion will be framed by three questions:
- Why fund research?
- How should one choose research projects to fund?
- What should funders do with the results of research studies?
The conversation will be of interest to organizations that are currently funding research or might consider doing so in the future. Be prepared to join a lively conversation with questions and ideas.
Registration is open; register here. This opportunity is available to members of Grantmakers for Education and hosted by the Grantmakers for Education Postsecondary Access and Attainment (PSA2) Impact Group.
