This session will tell the story of HousED, an initiative born out of a chance meeting between a leader in the education nonprofit world and a leader in the affordable housing development world, who together developed a vision and acted on it. Participants will learn about the potential of public and affordable housing organizations as critical partners to schools in supporting our most vulnerable students in their social, emotional and academic well being, and the role a local funder played in seeding what has become a national, scalable model.
