How can funders create a grantmaking strategy that puts them in a position to quickly and effectively respond to unpredictable challenges? Harvard Graduate School of Education professor James Honan will engage grantmakers in exploring our 2020 case study on strategy shifts in The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation's education program. A recent re-envisioning of the strategy ensured the education program team could be nimble and proactive throughout the spring and summer of 2020, in response to the pandemic and renewed attention to racial injustice.
