Systemic barriers to education prevent marginalized children from fully benefiting from the opportunities necessary to enable them to become the informed citizens. Many educators struggle to pursue equity in their classrooms and schools, but are stymied by systemic barriers. Litigators and policy advocates fight for equity in education but their policy changes and settlement decrees can succeed only if informed by educators. This session explores how sustainable systemic change can be achieved by leveraging strategic partnerships between educators and litigators/policy advocates.
