This session presents three models of Research Practice Partnerships (RPPs) with New York City’s Department of Education (NYCDOE) that each took a democratic approach to the research and development process but did so in different ways. Practitioners from NYCDOE and researchers from MDRC and the Research Alliance for NYC Schools will describe the successes and challenges of these efforts and will guide attendees through an application of lessons learned.
