Increased student inequities surfaced through the COVID-19 pandemic, together with our heightened attention to America’s institutional racism pandemic, have sparked new learning and designs for schools in collaboration with culturally-relevant community programs. This session centers on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s rising example of how schools, community arts organizations and funders can partner to ensure every Black American and African immigrant child receives culturally responsive education experiences that meet their authentic identity and relevant learning needs.
