EPWG Webinar | What’s Missing from this Eco-system? Common Core State Standards/Assessments

Program Dates
February 27, 2013 | 10:00 - 11:15 am Pacific

The adoption of Common Core State Standards and the development of associated assessments pose a unique opportunity to align K-12 and postsecondary systems around higher and clearer academic outcomes for students. Join Hewlett and Lumina foundation representatives in an engaging webinar that shares a theory of change and a map of investments made during the period 2010-12. Grantmakers will also have an opportunity to hear from a representative of the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, one of two state-led groups developing new assessments aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Finally, this webinar will examine the Common Core implementation timeline, build on a session at GFE’s 2012 annual conference, and invite funders to see their role for investing along the timeline.
