Principals play a crucial role in building effective schools and improving struggling schools in particular. This session will share what the Wallace Foundation has learned from nearly 20 years of investing in principal leadership. We will explore the question, How can other grant makers, districts and states build principal pipelines? A grantee case of what it took to build a principal pipeline in Prince George's County, MD; key findings of an independent research study on principal pipelines as well as a tool developed by Policy Studies Associates will be presented to anchor the discussion.
